In 2024, the Buildcorp Foundation signed on as the Naming Rights Partner of Lifeline Australia Help @ Hand Giving Day for a 3-year term. The Giving Day is a 24-hour event where the public donate to Lifeline Australia and have their donation matched by the Buildcorp Foundation.
Giving Day raises funds and awareness for Lifeline Australia’s 24/7 digital support channels, including text and online chat, to make sure that anyone in Australia has access to help using their mobile, their computer, or whatever device they have at hand.
This has been a great platform to maximise the Buildcorp Foundation’s annual contribution to mental health, which will increase awareness of our longstanding work with Lifeline Australia, and shine a spotlight on the disproportionate number of young male construction workers who die by suicide every year.
Buildcorp’s site teams get behind this important initiative by putting their ‘tools down’ over the day and connecting with their teammates and project partners over a site BBQ to raise funds and spread awareness.
To date, this event has raised over $1.39 million over the past two years, with $650,000 dollar-matched by the Buildcorp Foundation, which includes over $407,000 raised by Buildcorp staff BBQs alone!
These funds raised will make a tremendous difference in ensuring Lifeline Australia can keep pace with our increasingly digital world and that their support services are as accessible as possible.
